Return, Exchange & Refund Policy

At Caratbazaar, every jewellery piece goes through quality checking before dispatch. We request customers to read this policy carefully before placing an order.

Our return and exchange rules are different for Moissanite Jewellery and Lab Grown Diamond Jewellery because some products are ready-to-ship, while many pieces are specially made on order.

This online return and exchange policy is applicable only for orders placed directly on www.caratbazaar.in. Products purchased from our offline store/showroom are not covered under this online return policy.

1. Return / Exchange Time Period

You can request a return or exchange within 3 days from the date of delivery, only if the product is eligible under this policy.

Requests made after 3 days of delivery may not be accepted. After 3 days, only our Lifetime Buyback & Exchange Policy will apply, wherever applicable.

2. Mandatory Unboxing Video

A clear, continuous unboxing video is mandatory for any issue related to:

  • Damaged product

  • Wrong product received

  • Missing item

  • Stone issue

  • Broken jewellery

  • Packaging issue

The video should start before opening the parcel and should clearly show the full package, product, tags, invoice, certificate and packaging.

Without a proper unboxing video, damage, missing item or wrong product claims may not be accepted.

Moissanite Jewellery Return & Exchange Policy

Eligible Moissanite Products

Moissanite jewellery may be eligible for return or exchange only if:

  • The product is not customised

  • The product is not made in gold

  • The product is not specially made on order

  • The product is unused and unworn

  • The product is returned with original packaging, tags, certificate and invoice

  • The return request is raised within 3 days of delivery

Moissanite Products Not Eligible for Return / Exchange

The following Moissanite products are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Custom-made designs

  • Made-to-order jewellery

  • Gold jewellery

  • Personalised jewellery

  • Engraved jewellery

  • Products made in a special ring size or special requirement

  • Products damaged due to customer usage

  • Products without original packaging, certificate or invoice

Silver Moissanite Jewellery

For eligible 925 Silver Moissanite Jewellery, we may accept return or exchange within 3 days of delivery, subject to quality check.

The jewellery must be unused, unworn and in the same condition as delivered.

Gold Moissanite Jewellery

Gold Moissanite jewellery is generally made on order. Because it is specially made for the customer, it is not eligible for return or exchange for change of mind, size issue, design preference or personal reason.

If there is a genuine manufacturing defect or wrong product received, we will check the issue and provide a suitable solution.

Lab Grown Diamond Jewellery Return & Exchange Policy

Eligible Lab Grown Diamond jewellery purchased directly from our website [Not shop or customize] can be returned or exchanged within 3 days from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions mentioned below.

Lab Grown Diamond jewellery is made with certified diamonds and 14K / 18K gold. Many pieces are made as per selected design, ring size, gold purity, gold colour and diamond requirement. Because of this, custom and specially made orders are not eligible for normal return or exchange.

Eligible Lab Grown Diamond Products

Lab Grown Diamond jewellery may be eligible for return or exchange only if:

  • The product is not customised

  • The product is not specially made on customer request

  • The product is unused and unworn

  • The product is in the same condition as delivered

  • The product has no scratches, damage, resizing, repair, alteration or tampering

  • The product is returned with original box, packaging, invoice, certificate, tags and all documents

  • The return request is raised within 3 days of delivery

Lab Grown Diamond Products Not Eligible for Return / Exchange

The following Lab Grown Diamond products are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Custom orders

  • Customized diamond sizes

  • Customized jewellery designs

  • Special ring sizes or special size requests

  • Personalised orders

  • Engraved jewellery

  • Jewellery made as per customer request

  • Special diamond requirement orders

  • Products purchased during special sale, offer or clearance

  • Products damaged due to customer usage

  • Products without original packaging, certificate or invoice

Lab Grown Diamond jewellery is not eligible for return or exchange for:

  • Change of mind

  • Size selected incorrectly by the customer

  • Design preference changed after delivery

  • Customer wants another design after delivery

  • Personal reason

  • Price difference after purchase

  • Delivery accepted but later not liked

For customized Lab Grown Diamond jewellery, special size orders or products made as per customer requirement, only the Lifetime Buyback & Exchange Policy will apply after delivery, subject to policy conditions.

Lab Grown Diamond Return Processing Fee

For approved Lab Grown Diamond returns, a ₹799 processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

This processing fee is applicable only on approved Lab Grown Diamond returns and is not applicable on Moissanite jewellery unless mentioned separately.

If There Is a Genuine Issue

If you receive a wrong product, damaged product or a product with a genuine manufacturing defect, please contact us within 3 days of delivery with a clear unboxing video.

After checking the issue, our team may offer one of the following solutions:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Re-polishing

  • Re-plating

  • Exchange, if applicable

  • Any other suitable resolution after quality inspection

Final approval will depend on product condition and quality check.

General Return Conditions

To be eligible for any approved return or exchange, the product must meet all these conditions:

  • Product must be unused and unworn

  • Product must not be damaged, altered or tampered with

  • Product must be in the same condition as delivered

  • Original tags must be attached

  • Original packaging must be returned

  • Invoice / proof of purchase must be provided

  • Certificate, if provided, must be returned

  • Return request must be approved by our team before sending the parcel

Please do not send any product back without approval from our team. Products sent without approval may not be accepted.

Return Shipping

The customer has to bear the return shipping cost.

We recommend using a safe and trackable courier service. Caratbazaar will not be responsible if the return parcel is lost or damaged in transit while being sent by the customer.

Quality Check Process

Once we receive the returned product, our team will inspect it.

The product will be checked for:

  • Usage marks

  • Damage

  • Missing stones

  • Tampering

  • Missing tags

  • Missing certificate

  • Missing packaging

  • Product condition

Refund or exchange will be processed only after the product passes our quality check.

If the product fails quality check, return or exchange will not be approved and the product may be sent back to the customer.

Refund Process

If your return is approved after quality check, the refund will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

For COD orders, the refund will be processed through UPI or bank transfer.

Refunds are usually processed within 3 to 7 working days after quality check approval. Bank or payment gateway timelines may vary.

For approved Lab Grown Diamond returns, the refund will be processed after deducting the ₹799 processing fee.

Exchange Process

If your exchange request is approved, the new product will be dispatched after the returned product passes quality check.

Exchange dispatch timelines may vary depending on product availability and whether the new product needs to be made on order.

Warranty, Re-polish and Re-plating

Normal wear and tear can happen with jewellery over time, especially with daily use.

For silver jewellery, tarnishing can happen naturally because 925 silver reacts with air, moisture, perfume, sweat and chemicals. This does not mean the product is fake.

Caratbazaar provides service support as per the product warranty and service policy mentioned on the product page.

Re-polishing, re-plating or repair support will depend on the product type, usage condition and warranty eligibility.

Important Notes

  • Return or exchange is not applicable on every product.

  • Gold Moissanite jewellery and custom-made jewellery are not returnable.

  • Custom or specially made Lab Grown Diamond jewellery is not returnable.

  • Lab Grown Diamond jewellery is not returnable for change of mind, wrong size selected by customer or personal preference.

  • Shipping charges, COD charges, payment gateway charges or other handling charges, if any, may not be refundable.

  • A ₹799 processing fee will be deducted only on approved Lab Grown Diamond returns.

  • Any free gift, certificate, tag or packaging received with the product must be returned.

  • Caratbazaar reserves the right to reject any return or exchange if the product does not meet the policy conditions.
